The clever people behind the official website of Agatha Christie have devised their third Christie reading challenge. The prompts this year celebrate popular scenes, settings and tropes Christie’s novels. I’ve missed the first two challenges but when I saw this I thought it would be fun to join in.
The challenges to tick off are:
A story set in a grand house.
A story featuring love.
A story starring a society figure.
A story set before WWII.
A story featuring tea.
A story featuring a garden.
A story starring a vicar.
A story set by the seaside.
A story featuring a school.
A story set on a mode of transport.
A story set after WWII.
A story set during bad weather.
The Agatha Christie site have given some ideas as to what to read to cover these subjects. You can read more here but this handy list may help.
Ever the one not to do things in list order I’ve started on a book set after WWII. I’m well into Third Girl (published in 1966) and hope to soon have my first challenge ticked off the list.

It’s a great challenge – and I would love to re-read lots of Christie, but whether I’ll get to it this year is another matter!!
