Cheltenham Literature Festival 2019 – highlights

The Cheltenham Literature Festival is the world’s oldest literary festival and this year celebrates it’s 70th anniversary. It takes place from today 4th October, and runs until 10th October.

There will be a whole host of events covering fiction, classic literature,  stage and screen, poetry, spoken word and off the page, current affairs, history and ancient world, food and drink, lifestyle, sport, art and design, faith and philosophy, science, nature, travel and adventure, pyschology, family and eductation and year-round outreach.

There will be special 70th anniversary celebrations and events including ‘Celebrate with…’ when seven authors discuss their breakout book and literature festivals around the world have joined in by bringing their leading authors to the festival.

  1. Sounds fab! I’d love to hear Dawkins or Beard speak, but there’s one name on there I’d avoid like the plague!!!!!
